Responsibilities

  1. Design and optimize the architecture of superconducting quantum chips, including numerical simulation of electromagnetic properties of superconducting quantum devices and their packaging, and iterative optimization of chip layouts to meet performance requirements.

  2. Perform quantum chip layout design and electromagnetic simulations using professional EDA tools (e.g., HFSS, Sonnet, COMSOL), including physical design, simulation, and theoretical analysis.

  3. Participate in chip testing, failure analysis, and design iteration; analyze measurement data, identify performance bottlenecks, and propose improvements to enhance chip performance.

Requirements

  1. Ph.D. degree with a background in electromagnetics, microwave engineering, or related fields, such as physics, electronic engineering, electronics science and technology, microwave engineering, or condensed matter physics.

  2. Proficient in simulation and design tools; strong programming skills in languages such as Python and C++ for data processing and automation; hands-on experience with electromagnetic simulation software such as HFSS, Sonnet, ADS, and COMSOL.

  3. Experience in quantum chip design or related research; experience in RF integrated circuit design is a plus; familiarity with superconducting qubits and readout resonator design is highly preferred.

  4. Strong innovative thinking and the ability to conduct independent research and design.
